“I didn’t… I was on my way back over here and you were just… there.” He looked around nervously, “Mi dispiace bella, you know I cant allow you to go in there, come let me take you to where I am staying, you will be safe and comfortable there.” He offered, beginning to lead her gently. He gave a sharp whistle and Antonio came trotting around the corner in nothing more than a black leather halter. “You may ride him, I’m sure you must be tired..”
“But why not?” Viola frowned up at him, chewing on her lip in disappointment when she was directed to climb up onto Antonio’s back. She greeted the horse with a cooing kiss to his muzzle, still pouting as she climbed her way up onto his back. “Why can’t I speak with the Assassini? It is not as if I am a Templar, Soren.. I do not understand why I have to be so kept in the dark.”
“Si si.. I understand you are not.. but… your family.. are extremely powerful Templars.. I just.. It would be extremely frowned upon for me to allow you to enter, I can not put my creed in such danger, Not even the innocent are allowed to enter.. its not anything personal against you..” He helped her onto his back. “Antonio, you know better than to misbehave” he warned, starting to lead the horse. “Mi dispiace bella. we will go back to firenze in the morning and you can forget all about this.” Soren led them a bit of a ways to a building like all the rest. He brought Antonio around back to a few stalls and prepared fresh hay and water for the horse before offering to help Viola down and gesturing towards a few stairs. The den was empty, but cooler than the outside air, since it was under ground. “Please, make yourself comfortable.”
